Question: A stammer.? What is it.? disability, illness, disformalit
Answers:
I've stuttered or stammered my whole life, even though I spent years in school with speech therapists, nothing ever helped. It's like there's a mental block when it comes to speaking that you just can't break. I can sing with a group and never miss a word, or read aloud with someone else, but when I try it on my own the words get stuck again. Some people are able to get over it, I never have and I'm 58yrs old. I'm sure your friend would like nothing more than to be able to speak normally, I can tell you from experience it really sucks.Health Question & Answer

I understand what you are asking and you are truly a good friend for it because I've stuttered ever since I was 7yrs old and nobody knows why and I've had friends who used to make fun of me or give me dirty looks or some people who don't know you just look at you like your idiot which hurts so bad, so you are a very good friend for trying to understand your friends condition :) I did have a ruptured brain anuerysm when I was 7 and nobody knows what caused that either they also can't seem to tell me if that is why I stutter but I hope some day to find out for sure or hopefully they will some day find a permanent cure for stuttering because for people who stutter life can be hell and trust me I know, so just keep up the good work, and you can also check out the national stuttering foundation's website there is a bunch of information on there, i'm not sure what the exact website is but you just do a search and it'll come right up, keep upt the good work, you are being a good friend for doing this :)Health Question & Answer

A person that has a stammer has a disability. Its also known a stuttering when speaking. This can be treated and overcome in time. Do not judge this person for their handicap, I'm sure your not perfect in every way. A friend is a most precious and dear thing a person can have in their life. A country western singer has is handicap. He can sing well but has trouble speaking. But he uses this now as a joke, because he can now speak was well as others Let it be ok with you for a person to be the way they are.Health Question & Answer
