So it all started with an enlargement of my right side of neck Lymph Nodes like in Jan. of 2007. My doctor said nothing to worry about and set me up with a specialist.I went to the specialist he only felt it and said its just called a reinactivated Lymph node and left it alone. Now almost 2 years down the road its still there the enlarged lymph node, and never goes away. I seen a specialist today he ordered me in for a CAT scan.On top of all this i have all the symptoms of Lymphoma but he assures me that its not any type of lymphoma cause the enlargemtn isnt big enough! IDK. im always tired,abdominal pains,chest pains sometime,troubles breathing alot,dizzyness,faint,fever at times,other time chills, cold hands, other times warm handds, more outbreaks of cold sores the past year, my stomach looks like a prego belly,at least one headache every day or night,weakness feeling.and just pretty much feels like im always having the flu. grrrr.i got a call today from the GYN. and said my PAP SMEAR i had done about a week ago came back ABNORMAL.so i have to get this other test called a coloscopy. Jeeze what are all these strange symptoms i need help please.or am i just a hypochondriac. Now i gotta wait a whole friggen month to find out results on the Pap Smear. and getting a CAT scan of the lymph nodes tomorrow. hmm any suggestions or ideas.shud i ge a second opinion.? anyone else feeling the same way or had any of the same story before.?Health Question & Answer

I would get a second opinion. About 5 years ago I went through the same thing. Except all my lymph nodes throughout my body was swollen. I went to a specialist and he said that he thought it was lymphoma. I went to my primary care physician and he said the same thing, I had lymphoma, but nothing to worry about it wasn't active. To this very day every lymph node in my body is still swollen and hurts like heck when I touch them or when I move. My doctor wants me to have a full cancer screening done, so that's what I am going to do. I would suggest you have the same thing done. As far as your Pap Smears being abnormal, talk to your doctor about endometriosis. I had it and after having a hysterectomy to get rid of it, I still have it. When the doctor did the hysterectomy and I woke up from surgery, he told me and my husband it was to late, that the endometriosis had spread to my bladder, kidney and my bowel as well as other organs. I would strongly suggest that you talk to your OB-GYN about exportatory surgery to see if that is the problem. You have all the symtoms and that also could very well be the reason your lymp nodes are swollen. I hope this helps. Please keep me posted. Let me know what you find out if you don't mind. your symptoms are not really something someone can help you "self diagnose" on here. I will say it's fairly common to get abnormal pap smears and when they further investigate it, they're normal. I'm sorry you feel like crap though and wish you a speedy recovery!Health Question & Answer
