Is coffee really an appetite suppressant?!

Question: Is coffee really an appetite suppressant.?
If so, why.? And how much less food would you feel like eating.?

The reason I asked is because someone suggested coffee (caffeine rather) to me prior to my workout to reduce muscular soreness that occurs the next day, especially when doing more reps. Well this worked for me so I was wondering if this rumor was true also.Health Question & Answer

Desiree,

Yes, and No. Yes, because you're fillig your stomach with fluids and you will stave off hunger. The other side of this is coffee on a molecular level does promote fat storage in your adipose tissues. So it's a catch 22.

Although I would go as far as to say it's bad for you. Research has shown MANY benefits to drinking coffee. (.?.rand=Qoh0Wnz1R0)" rel="nofollow">http://www.thecoffeeconnoisseur.com/moby...

If you are working out and looking to stay in shape suggest tryin Skinny Science Coffee, or BSkinny Coffee, a fat-burning, thermogenic coffee.

Basically by drinking 2-3 cups a day you can burn more fat while at work or at play. It's approved by the Glycemic Research Institution, as well as Human Sports Performance. Something worth looking into.

A Free sample of BSkinny, or a 10 day trial pack is available on the links below. I hope this helps.

To you best cup of coffee and body yet,

Coffee reduces the absorption of important minerals, for example, iron, to be reduced by about 40% for up to 4 hours after consumption.

Even if you don't have severe reactions to caffeine it still can cause damage, you just won't know it for years. It reduces absorption of many important nutrients and iron in particular. More than 1/2 cup consumption of coffee a day, for a pregnant woman is enough to raise the risk of miscarriage. There are other, safer appetite suppressants and caffeine is best left alone.Health Question & Answer

It's never been an appetite suppressant to me. If anything, it just makes me want a donut or strudel.Health Question & Answer
