15 Yrs. Old, Short Term Memory Loss, Bump on Side of Head where temporal lobe is located...Brain Problems??!

Question: 15 Yrs.. Old, Short Term Memory Loss, Bump on Side of Head where temporal lobe is located......Brain Problems.?.?
I am 15 years old, and I have this very strange oval bump on my head, which is very painful to touch and even when I do not.. I have been suffering form short term memory loss alot lately, for example, I go into a room and dont remember why, I go to look up something and I forget what it was.. And also I suffer from very intense migraines on the right side of my head where the bump is located, as well as numbness, and whenever I look out into space for a few seconds and then come out of it it takes about 20 seconds for my vision to refocus......do you think I have brain problems.?.?

And I don't even remember where the bump came from, and I have a small cut above it

And When I told my parents, they told me I was fine and don't worry about it, even though I tell them it causes me a lot of pain and cant remember what I was to do half of the time.. They keep saying that if they really thought something was wrong we would go to the doctor right away, but they dont and I do so i really dont know what to doHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
Do you have a school nurse.? IF you do, go and see her/him at the earliest opportunity..
Any bump to the head that causes a lump really should be checked out by a medical practitioner.. In your case, with the associated memory loss, it could be a lot more serious than just a 'bump on the head'.. It is better to be on the side of caution, rather than ignore the problem and then say how much you wish you had done something sooner..
Have you ever had concussion before.? If you have, then it doesn't take a very hard knock to be concussed again..

Do yourself a favour - get checked.. Perhaps even take yourself off to the GP; after all you are 15 so quite old enough to make an appointment and go..
Alternatively, take yourself to the local hospitals emergency department..
Any of the above alternatives can help you..Health Question & Answer

Maybe they gave you the bump......tell another family member and get them to take you to the doctors..Health Question & Answer
