Question: I am from America.. Do the initials "GP" stand for general practitioner in the U..K...? In other words a.......?
regular doctor.? I figure it does, but I just want to doublecheck since we don't use those initials for a doctor in the United States..Health Question & Answer

well my family and i just moved to the u..k.. like a year ago from orange county California and it does mean general practitioner but in the u..k.. they also act as a gynecologist and you only have to have mammograms every three years............now i'm not entirely sure about the gynecologist part but i'm sure about he mammogram part :) hope this helps!Health Question & Answer
