about two years ago i had ACL surgery. after the surgery, i used crutches for about a week if i remember correctly. my leg was very weak, so i had physical therapy and it took about 6 months untill i could play soccer again.. so i would say depending on what is being done, anywhere from a week to two weeks, you should be walking again.. you might still have to wear a brace though. depends on your doctor.Health Question & Answer
about 5 months. I'm a gymnast and i watched my teammate tear her acl in February. she had to get surgery, and she was in crutches for about a month then she could walk she just limped and i just saw her once over the summer she was walking fine but she started gymnastics again and she said it hurts if she puts too much pressure on it. i see her at school and shes doing perfectly fine.Health Question & Answer
