CT Scan and tongue piercing?!

Question: CT Scan and tongue piercing.?
I have to have a CT Scan soon, and I was wondering whether they will make me remove my tongue piercing.?
I thought that I might wear a retainer or one made out of acrylic so that there is no metal to interfere with the scan, would this be allowed.?
If they don't allow me to have either of them, I'm worried that the piercing will close up if I remove the jewellery. Ive had it done for about a year and a half now, but I heard tongue piercings can take a long time before you can leave them without jewellery. I don't know how long the scan will take either :s Will it close up.?
Anyone else had a similar problem.? Id like to know how you got round this problem!

Answers:
Without a doubt, they'll make you remove the metal one, probably an acrylic one would be acceptable, depending on what you're going in for (still may affect the image) It's probably best to inquire with the people who are going to do the test, since you don't want to have to take a second image because of a piece of jewelery (CT Scans aren't cheap).
