Do you and your family use antibacterial soap?!
Question: Do you and your family use antibacterial soap.?
Why or why not.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
No you shouldn't use antibacterial products. Killing the germs only helps to breed super bugs.
You should just use plain soap and water and wash your hands for as long as it takes you to sing Happy Birthday.
This is long enough to remove the germs from you hands.Health Question & Answer

You really need to read Matilda's answer. It is the most correct. Antibacterial soaps and cleaners do the same thing that antibiotics do -- their overuse make the bacteria develop their own resistence, and soon you have "superbugs." You will not find antibacterial soaps anywhere near me.Health Question & Answer
No
overuse of antimicrobial products leads to MORE bacteria that are drug resistant. Thinks we can't fight effectively, and more bacteria that can kill people.
The anti-microbial products kill the "easy" bacteria colonies, leaving a perfect ecological niche for more dangerous bacteria. I can't do anything about that in the rest of the world, but i can keep the bacteria here weak - easy to kill if need be.Health Question & Answer

No because there is evidence that we are creating such a germ free environment that people are losing their ability to fight of germs and infection. I hardly ever get sick and work with kids in schools yet my colleagues that use antibacterial soaps and tons of antibacterial gels, wipes, etc are always sick with colds, etc.Health Question & Answer
No.
There are scads of bacteria in and around us all the time.
It's our body's immune system that keeps it all in the right balance.
Washing hands is fine, but not overdoing. Sleeping, eating good foods, drinking water, exercise are all more important than anit-bacterial soap.Health Question & Answer

Antibacterial soap doesn't clean any better than regular soap. On top of that, it makes micro-organisms more resistant to antibiotics. The more that happens, the more they need to introduce harsher chemicals to clean things.Health Question & Answer
No way. Triclosan (the main antimicrobial ingredient in anti-bacterial soaps) is virtually useless against bacteria. If people knew how useless it was against even common bacteria such as staphylococcus, nobody would use it.Health Question & Answer
yes but don't go overboard, there are a certain amount of "good" bacteria. if you kill all of them you can lose a lot of immunities that you need.Health Question & Answer
