Question: HELP PLEASE!! how long does it take for your body to react to a 12 motrin overdose!!! help now please.?
Answers:
You may not get any effects, it depends on how much you took and how much you weigh.

For doses under 100mg/Kg of body weight, the risk of severe adverse effects is unlikely. This likelihood rises with dose from 100 to 400mg/Kg and any dose over 400mg/Kg will almost certainly have severe adverse effects. Individual sensitivity also plays a part but if you have taken anywhere near this much, get yourself to an ER now.

Most over the counter medications have a large difference between the therapeutic and toxic dosages so, even if you have gone 10x over the recommended dosage, you will almost certainly be OK.

Hope this helps.

TVHealth Question & Answer

assuming they were 200mg tablets, that means you took 2400mg. the highest recommended dose is 800mg/every 4-6 hours.

But unless it was a child or infant that took the pills. you will be fine.

If you had taken, say, 50 motrin, your organ systems (kidney and liver) would begin to shut down and you would die slowly over the course of a week or longer.

If this was a suicide attempt, find a new way to do it because this is going to hurt like a mother. Health Question & Answer
