Siamese twins, how/why does this happen and what happens if one sadly dies?!

Question: Siamese twins, how/why does this happen and what happens if one sadly dies.?
Answers:
When the egg is fertilized it sometimes divides completely in half and you get identical twins( 2 babies from 1 egg) if the egg does not completely divide and is still joined at some spot then the babies are joined together at that spot( I am trying to make this a simple explanation.) Depending on where they are joined probably if one died they other one shortly would too unless emergency surgery to separate them could be done.Health Question & Answer
