Did your doctor use the term "wheezing in lungs".? If you had something in your lungs it's asthma or beyond bronchitis (which is in your bronchial tubes). An ear infection can be extremely painful depending on the severity and an individuals tolerance for pain. I had one and didn't know until my ear drum broke from it. That hurts.
