Do you ever look at the years of experience when choosing a doctor or do you just look for any doctor that is covered by your insurance.? Health Question & Answer

I check which hospitals he has staff privileges at, that he is board certified in the specialty I'm interested in, which medical school he graduated from, and then check where his name turns up on the internet. Health grades for example.Health Question & Answer
It depends on how picky of a person you are. Older doctors have much more experience while younger doctors have had better training. (sorry to any older docs out there but you know its true) The fact is that they all went to med school, they all did the clinicals, and they all drive the same freakin mercedes. well that depend on what you have for instance if it is open heart surgery i would go with more experienced, if it is just cold any doctor is fine. Health Question & Answer
i would try and find a real experienced doctor ,why just find one who just take your insurance .? i bet there are plenty of those but they will not help you when you really need help or good medical adviceHealth Question & Answer
