If you have a broken leg bone or arm bone, ankle bones shattered, wrist bone shattered, you will no doubt get a cast. Fingers, toes, ribs, just a splint or a support wrap. If you are in a lot of pain, Vicodin or Darvocet is usually given. Vicodin is the preferred, but it does make you sleepy. If you did break something Kellie, I certainly hope it is not a serious break. I'm wishing the very best for you young one. Good luck with your injury. Health Question & Answer
Depends on what you break and how badly...
Ive broken 3 toes at separate times and only once got vicodin for it, no cast for a toe. I broke my ankle and shattered my heel along with a couple other little bones in my foot and they put me in a cast for about 6 weeks, I dont remember getting anything for pain.Health Question & Answer
