Question: What are the bumps from using heroin called, and how long after "shooting up" do they stay.?
I have a friend who used to be addicted to heroin, she claims she is clean and since I don't know much about heroin (and have already lost one friend to it) I have been trying to get as much info on it as possible.
We went out not too long ago and she had these bumps on her arms and said they stay there forever even though she is not using. I want to know if this is true or not so I can get her help if she is lying. Any info on this topic will be a great help!!Health Question & Answer

"Bumps" on a main-liner are the result of collapsed veins. They usually do "stay" where they are. They do however, have a slighter appearance in time. You should do a bit more research on the web. The information highway is at your fingertips. Google or simply search for information and photos of junkies, addicts and main-liners.
