Question: Can one get arthritis at any age.?
im female 19 years old and ive been working in a very stressfull environment for 2 years now. if you have to know i work in a hotel basically lifting things like tables and chairs and racks of glasses. a lot of times i use a cart to carry things around. a few months ago i felt a sharp pain in my knee, and lately ive noticed that i have trouble doing simple things like folding clothes because my hands start to hurt. no one thinks i have arthritis. but i feel like i do. my hands hurt and get sore after just a short while. and when i wake up in the morning, the very first steps i take hurt so bad i have to limp until my feet are used to walking. some one please help. right now im too scared to go to a doctor to see whats wrong with me, but id first like to read what every one thinks. thanks!Health Question & Answer

Yes, arthritis is not limited to older people anyone can get it. However it does not sound like you have been doing this job long enough to have gotten it. There are other reasons for joint pain and it is more likely you have one of those. Health Question & Answer
I wouldn't hesitate to go to the doctor, waiting will only make it worse. I have a torn BCL (ligament) in my left knee that hasn't been seen by a doctor since I tore it in 2002 and it still hurts but being without medical insurance will do that to ya.
