Answers:
its possible as the A and B need a 2nd genotype ie they would be BO and AO passing the recessive O genes to the child resulting in OOHealth Question & Answer

so parent 1 has blood type A-O
Parent 2 has blood type B-O
---B O
A ab ao

O bo oo

So u have 1/4 kids with type AB
1/4 A-O
1/4 B-O
1/4 OO

So yes you can have type O kids from a type A parent and B parent.

As far as I know two type O's cannot have anything but type O
---O O
O oo oo

O oo oo

100% O type blood

Hope this helps. Thats how we learned it in school and it seemed to make sense then.Health Question & Answer

The first is possible. Because A and B are both dominant over O; an A person could have the genotype AO and similarly a B parent could have genotype BO. Both could pass O genes to a child.

The second is not possible; O type persons must be genotype OO.Health Question & Answer
