Think i Almost had heart attack, pulse at rest 120 and still have chest pain?!

Question: Think i Almost had heart attack, pulse at rest 120 and still have chest pain.?
ive been having chest problems since the 8th grade when i collapsed, i believe it was a heart attack. got an ekg 3 years later, nothing. now im 19 and my chest is hurting again. yesterday walking out of the store the pain got immense, pulsated into my left arm/shoulder and neck area, but then went away about a 30 seconds later.

my chest still hurts me now, but im going to the doc tomorrow. i just checked my pulse while at rest and its 120 beats per minute. if i move or walk around i get really tired so i believe it gets alot faster than the 120. What could this be.? why is this hapenning im only 19

Answers:
I'm nearly positive that what you are experiencing is called angina. It is just chest pain, sometimes radiating to the back, neck, and left arm, that is caused by ischemia in the heart muscle due to a lack of oxygen. It usually goes away within 15 minutes of onset. If it does not, you MUST get yourself to an Emergency Room. You may need a nitro or another vasso-dialator. But bottom line: please take care of yourself and get to a hospital.

Health Question & Answer

You should really go in to the doctor immediately when you are having those symptoms, so your doctor can see first hand what is happening, and hook you up to a machine to read it. If your doctor is not available, you should go to the emergency room.

If this happens on a regular basis, your doctor can have you wear a monitor that can record when it happens.
