How do you teach a person who was born blind, deaf and mute how to communicate?!

Question: How do you teach a person who was born blind, deaf and mute how to communicate.?
Answers:
It's not easy, but it is possible. What you would do is have the person feel objects and spell what they are into the person's hand using the manual alphabet. You would then move on to teach them full signs, but they would have to learn tactile sign language (which is when signs are signed to the person while the person's hands are on the hands of the signer--so they can feel the signs being made). To teach them how to speak, they would need to feel the throat of the teacher as the teacher says certain words (feeling the vibrations of the vocals). Like I said, it's not easy, but it has been done. You can check out the Laura Bridgman and Helen Keller pages on my site in the sources box. Health Question & Answer

By allowing them to feel things, and then teaching them the ASL sign for what they just felt by moving their hand a certain way.

It isn't easy, but it has been proved possible through Helen Keller.Health Question & Answer
