Getting a flu shot-pain?!
Question: Getting a flu shot-pain.?
I really hate shots. But I decided to get a flu shot this year cause I've gotten the flu for the past few years and I can't miss any school this year. Just the idea of getting a shot makes me shiver. I'm getting it today in about 45 minutes. Can I do anything to make it hurt less.? I know the things with being distracted, but that doesn't work for me, and I don't think the place I'm going has the numbing option. What can I do.?Health Question & Answer

If you can have someone with you and talk to them as a distraction....it will be done before you know it. Believe it or not , I had mine todayand that worked for me. Health Question & Answer
try to distract yourself. get something in ur head and think about as intensely as u can. and look away, of course.
also, i'm sure if u asked them they could put ice or something on it first. u could even bring ur own ice pack and discreetly put it on ur arm before they come in.
best of luck :) Health Question & Answer

Just look away, they prick you, inject, and pull out. All in less than 2 seconds.Health Question & Answer
