Why do some people have to wear purple glasses?!


Question: Why do some people have to wear purple glasses.?
I knew 2 girls in highschool who had to wear purple tinted glasses for some reason. Why.?

I believe they are the type that go from clear indoors to tinted and "sunglasses-like" in the sun.
