What could cause this? ?!

Question: What could cause this.? .?
I always feel tired even if I get plenty of sleep. I could sleep for 9-10 hours and still be really tired. I don't have enough energy to get out of bed even with lots of sleep. I am only 21 almost 22. I don't take any meds that make me tired. I am pretty healthy except for allergies and asthma, which is under control. Could this be a sign that something is wrong. Please no rude comments. Health Question & Answer

People around your age need about 7 and a half to 8 hours of sleep. You need to get used to this amount of sleep. 9-10 hours of sleep is usually too much rest. The first day you try to get up after 7 and a half hours of sleep may be hard to do. Get someone to help you or somehow make something want you to get up. Trust me, after it becomes your regular sleeping length, you will feel more energetic and somewhat in a healthier state. If you don't already, you should do some physical activity. Play some sport with some friends every few days, or hit the weights or track everyday. Do something that will exhaust you and MAKE you want to fall asleep. Oh yea, and try to become an early bird. Go to sleep at around 9:30, and try to get up out of bed at 6:00 or something. I hope this helps you because this helped me with my low energy problems! Good luck!Health Question & Answer

Some people who still feel tired after getting an adequate amount of sleep could have sleep problems and don't realize it. Conditions such as sleep apnea, restless legs, or even depression can make it hard to get a good night's rest. Caffeine and some medications can also disrupt sleep patterns.

If you don't wake up feeling rested on most mornings, or think you might be depressed, it's a good idea to talk to your doctor.
Health Question & Answer

I would ask your doctor for a full panel blood workup. You could be anemic, or have low B-12, or something else could be low. My husband has to go for B-12 shots once a month...or once a week.
Or, you could be getting TOO much sleep. some people only require 6-7 hours. good luck! hopefully it's something simple.
