Vomiting through the nose?!
Question: Vomiting through the nose.?
I was super sick last week, and I went to throw up, and the Vomit was coming through my nose, why does this happen.? It was all in my sinuses and I could not breath, and then I had to blow my nose to get it out, which made me throw up even more. It happened to me once. I was throwing up and my Brother came in behind me and leaned over my shoulder and said, "if you throw up something about as big around as a quarter, with hair around it. You swallow it back down because you have puked up your @sshole1"

Horrible as it is, this is completely natural. Essentially as you were so ill, there was too much vomit for it too all come from your mouth. Your nose and mouth are joined at the back of your throat, and, as your mouth was 'full' the vomit went via your nose instead as the other route out of your body!Health Question & Answer
because the nose and throat are connected and so if you stop the sick from coming out of your mouth but you stomach is till forcing you to be sick then there is nothing really stopping it going further up and coming out your nose

When you vomit very forcefully it can go through your nose too. The nose and throat are connected. It's a very miserable experience, as you now know. It's something I've only experienced once or twice. I've even tried saline spray to wash out my nose but that made me sick too. Ewww is all I can say...sorry you had to feel it.Health Question & Answer

the ear, nose and throat are all connected. sometimes things shot up fast and head up the tube for the wrong hole. that's also how you can laugh so hard beverage shoots out your nose. i've done it as well and you're right, it's horrible.Health Question & Answer

Because the top of your mouth is connected to the bottom of your nose - there is a flap at the back of you mouth that leads up there . The vomit obviously got re-directed up there because it could not get out your mouth :)Health Question & Answer
