How can I tell whether?!
Question: How can I tell whether.?
How can I tell whether I have allergies or a cold.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
I feel your pain here. I have often felt like I had a mild cold that went on and on. Finally I began to wonder if it was allergies. If it is a cold you'll usually have colored nasal mucus, coughing, and overall fatigue. Allergies is usually clear mucus, and fatigue (more felt in the head/eyes) for me.Health Question & Answer
Allergies generally stay out of your chest. Depending on the severity you may or may not have a tight throat. Dry, red or itchy eyes are a common side effect. And of course sneezing, running nose, poost nasal drip, and feeling stuffed up are also common symptoms. Fall and spring are big allergy seasons.
If you find that you get these symptoms around a certain time of year that would be one sign. If you don't get better and it sticks around it is usually a sign of allergies. Go to a doctor and they can check you out and answer that question for sure.Health Question & Answer

If it goes away in 2 weeks or less chances are it's a cold. If they come during the main allergy season, or if you just got a new pet, chances are it's allergies.Health Question & Answer
