Do they use heroin for patients in hospitals to make them feel better before they die?!

yes, they used to give pateints heroin if they had a few weeks left to live, so that they don't feel hopeless and depressed

My Merck says they use opioids for pain in dying patients. Morphine is the common one, but there are others, all of them pretty close to heroin in structure and function. If the dying patient is not in pain, I doubt that they would give opioids, although when the patient is very near death they might use something like heroin which makes them go to sleep feeling at peace and may hasten death a little by suppressing breathing.
