Panic Attack.... .........?!

Question: Panic Attack.... ..........?
I think I'm having panic attacks. It feels like my chest is very heavy, my heart feels like it's gonna jump outta my chest, I can't sleep or relax my brain and I feel like crying. I need to call my doctor and ask her for help, but she don't write prescriptions until seen thoroughly. Many people abuse the drugs they are given, thats why they do this. It was very difficult for me to get a very mild pain killer for my back. If she can't give me anything, who can.?.?.? Today! I don't like this feeling.Health Question & Answer

This certainly sounds like you're having a panic attack. I find it helps me to keep telling myself "this is a panic attack and it will go away". It also helps to breathe in for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 4 seconds, then breathe out for 4 seconds... and keep focusing on counting to four (or however many seconds feel comfortable for you).

To be on the safe side, book an appointment with your doctor so she can see you thoroughly... if you have panic disorder, you'll want to get this dealt with.

Most importantly... keep telling yourself you are okay... you will begin to calm down.Health Question & Answer

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.

No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....
