Strange combination of symptoms, any ideas?!
Question: Strange combination of symptoms, any ideas.?
Ok it started with a weird "lump" feeling in my throat.
Now it has progressed to a very sore throat, swollen glands, some difficulty swallowing ( partly due to the pain, partly due to the swelling)
no white patches in throat, quite red though, vomiting but no nausea, no fever.
I can't keep anything down so painkillers just come back up on me.
Please don't just say to see a doctor. I know this already, if the symptoms get any worse I am going to the ER (since it's night time).
Just wondering if any of this makes sense to you.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
It isn't necessarily strep throat, but it is most likely a throat infection, which may be viral or bacterial. The swelling can cause you to feel nauseated, and make it difficult to swallow. It is a good idea to have it checked, since if it is strep, you need to take antibiotics to prevent complications that can be serious.Health Question & Answer
