Frequent throat and or ear infections. also check if you snore, if your tonsils are big enough to alter the flow of air in and out of your throat you should go see a doctor about having them removed.Health Question & Answer
from what I understand (I am NOT a doctor!), mostly a persistent severe sore throat that does not go away on its own, OR if it isn't always sore but you are having frequent cases of tonsilitis to the degree that it's no longer practical to go to the doctor every time, that would be a good reason to have them removed. Some people have recurring issues and it just eventually becomes easier to get them taken out.Health Question & Answer
