Women Only: How to stop urine leakage?!

Question: Women Only: How to stop urine leakage.?
I have to wear a pad every day, or else there will be serious chafing problems. This problem started around the time I was 7. I just used TP padding then, but as the problem grew worse, I switched to pads. It's very heavy leaking, I have to use a regular pad and not just a liner.

I've tried Kegel's; I've tried everything. I've talked to my doctor, but she says nothing's wrong.

Is there anything else that might help.? Any way to convince my doctor she's wrong and to get her to try to solve this problem.?Health Question & Answer

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having these problems! Believe it or not, it's very common, even among young women. Most recent studies have suggested that 15-25% of women under the age of 30 have problems with incontinence.

There are a couple of different types of incontinence, and the treatment depends on the type you have. The options range from exercise/biofeedback/physical therapy to medications to surgery. You haven't given enough information in your question to give a clue as to the type. But rest assured, treatment IS available, and most cases can be cured.

You should definitely go back to see your doctor, and if you feel like she isn't taking this problem seriously, ask for a referral to a urologist. In fact, there are doctors called urogynecologists who specialize in problems of the female urinary tract (specifically problems with incontinence).

While you're waiting for treatment, you might consider trying pads that are specially designed for incontinence. You didn't mention what type you're using, but the specially-designed ones work MUCH better than regular maxis. You can buy them from a number of online stores. Myn has been solved by this nutritional program.
It cleanses, so your body can heal itself.
I wouldn't lie to you, It really works!
Myn was caused by having big babies and started with the second child over 8 lbs. when I was only 21. I have 5 now the youngest is 3 and now more leaking this year because I have followed this program since Jan.Health Question & Answer

Seek a second opinion from another doctor. I'm not sure what tests your doctor did but they should have you drink a lot and then come in and yes this is embarrassing, but they will examine you pelvic area and ask you to cough etc to see how bad the problem is. Good luck and get the second opinion...

I don't know how old you are now, or if you have had children, or if your anatomy is a little different. It may be that you are having bladder spasms. There is medication available by prescription that might help. I would see another doctor.Health Question & Answer
