Question: I have this knot in my wrist.?
My wrist has been hurting for months. Yesterday morning I woke up and there was a knot that hurts really badly whenever i put pressure on it or carry something with only one hand. My mom says that she thinks that if its what she thinks it is then its hereditary. She had one and my grandpa had one. I just wanted to know it anyone knows what this is called. It sounds lie a Ganglion cyst but it could be many other things. I would definitely see a specialist as soon as possible.

I had one and I saw my doctor. He said it was a "lump of tissue in muscle" or a "lump of muscle in tissue"
It went away after a couple of years

Kalkail is right. A ganglion cyst. I had one and went in, all they do is put a needle in there and drain the fluid from it. My wrist ached for a week or so and it has been 13 14 years and I haven't had a problem.
