Question: So what exactly happens after you take laxatives.?
For constipation. I know they are "bad" but I haven't gone in so long and I can't wait for my diet change to kick in it's just taking too long so I'm taking laxatives. I'm tired of "holding" in my poop at work cause I know nothing is really gonna come out and I can't spend my whole shift in the bathroom. Last time I went was Saturday afternoon. What happens after I take the laxative.? It says in 6-12 hours I'll go to the bathroom. Will it be an "oh I gotta go NOW" type thing.? Will it be diarrhea or just normal.? Don't lecture me on using a laxative, I have never used one in my life and I don't plan to continue using them. Could someone who has taken em just explain what happens after. Like should I stay home til I go or can I be out in public.? Info/advice much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Health Question & Answer

Take the laxative right before bed. You'll wake up and take a normal poop. Once in awhile is fine!!
Please don't hold it in if you have to go. Even if you just fart. If you KNOW it's just going to be a fart, then fart somewhere in private. :)Health Question & Answer
