Question: In a job interview, I mentioned I had a surgery as a difficult situation I had to overcome. Yikes! Is that bad.?
Answers:
I'm an employer and I wouldn't think of it as a problem at all... If the surgery was caused by some careless behavior then it would be of interest. Sound like you left those details out though..

depends on what you applied for. I was run over by a van while i was rollerblading and had like 3 surgerys and other crap and I told my boss when I was interviewed and he told me I had the job when the interview was over. I'm also an accounting clerk not a warehouse hand, in that case I might not have gotten the job. But hey if they don't hire you because of a surgery then you don't need to work for them anyway. Sounds OK to me. Most interviewers are looking for something like "when the boss asked me to double sales I did some research and talked to my contacts and after a lot of work was able to triple sales" Yes - this sounds goofy - but these are the self-serving responses they expect. They want to see that you will live and die for the corporation and your presence is going to make them better off.Health Question & Answer
