How long will it take for her to recover?!
Question: How long will it take for her to recover.?
We will be going back to the hospital tonight. We got a phone call from my aunt that my cousin who is very close and has always been their for us was hit by an idiot from a police chase. She has 2 broken ribs, a broken arm and she doesn't remember much from the crash because she was unconscious. How long do you think she will have to be in the hospital for.? And will she be able to get back to her normal life.? This happened late last night. She is in ICU and we hope to hear from the doctors tonight. But i just wanted to get some opinions. Our bodies vary in their ability to recover, sometimes they heal fast other times they don't. Likewise, we all vary in our response to medication.
Whilst she is in intensive care she is closely watched to see how her injuries and body respond to the treatment. also they can put her into a state that gives her body a deeper rest, and therefore help recovery. But they will only do that if she needs it.
When she recovers she will most likely feel pains on occasion where the breaks occurred. Those pains might come as dull aches or twinges and usually occur when the weather is changing.

I wish I could say not long it really depends on the seriousness of her injuries. She will probably be in the hospital for a month or so. I don't think her life will ever be the same for the simple fact of her injuries she is always going to be reminded of the incident. Only time and the doctors can tell you that, it would depend on if she had a head injury and how bad it was.These days a bad accident is remarkably quick because of the advanced care and drugs etc, but it is impossible to say how long. My son had a major hip operation and was in 5 weeks, others were in 10 days, it all depends, how old, how fit, how well she responds,If you are seeing the ICU doctors tonight they will tell you and give it you straight, as it were.Broken ribs are nasty many years ago my dad had an accident at work and broke 3, he was in agony for a good 2 months, he got a cough and it was painful to say the least when he coughed, if she gets a cough tell her to hold the sore area before coughing.wish i could get my crystal ball out for you, but i have done my best.Health Question & Answer
