I have seen two different psychiatrist. Just like any doctor, you get some you like and you get some you don't. My first was always late for her appointments... 2 hours late on one occasion, so I switched.
I currently love my new psychiatrist. He keeps things simple and sweet. I go in, tell him how I've been... and he changes my meds if needs be. One thing that I thought psychiatrists would do more of is counseling. I thought you'd go in there and be able to spill your guts... but most psychiatrist set aside time for therapy for their worst (for lack of a better word) patients. My psychiatrist did however recommend a counselor that works for her.
My experience with him has been wonderful. In a round-about way, he has given me my life back. My meds are working great, and I am myself again. Thank God! If you have any questions, please IM or email me. =)Health Question & Answer
