Sciatic nerve... chiropractor or MD?!
Question: Sciatic nerve... chiropractor or MD.?
I hurt my sciatic nerve last week and it has gotten worse. There have been a few times where it took my breath away due to pain. I have tried muscle relaxants and vicadin and nothing really helps. Should I see a Doctor or a Chiropractor.?Health Question & Answer

I would give chiropractic a try. There are a lot of people that come into our office with sciatic pain, and after they follow the plan of treatment they walk out pain free. It usually takes more than one visit for the pain to go away, though...so don't get discouraged if it takes some time. Just make sure you find a D.C. that will do more than just "pop" you. (give you therapies, some supplements, exercises to do at home, etc.) If you lived in the Kansas City area, I could give you my Doc's number. :)
