im working night shift at a lodge/hotel. and i need ways to stay alert and awake during the night.

I see you have a lot of good answers here, but you have to know about our natural body clock, which tells us that when you are pregnant, you have to follow your body clock, that means if you go against the Day/Night cycle, your child could be defectful at his birth. You need a lot of sleep, without that your child will be suffering there, and you can read about a lot of Birth defects and health problems, that can be treatable or UNTREATABLE. What would you do then.?

If you work a regular job, you get up, go to work, come home, relax, then sleep. Do you do that.?

Maybe you work,, get home and sleep, wake up, do things, then go to work. No wonder you are dragging!

When you get off of work, stay up. Do NOT go to sleep for about 5-7 hours, just like the day workers. Do all your chores in the morning and go to sleep about 1-2pm. Then when you get up you go right to work.Health Question & Answer

Walk around. Eat a little bit now and then. Try to find something interesting to do. If you are at a desk find something productive and interesting to do if you are idle.
