Question: In Pain, Can Anyone Suggest What This Would Be.?
Ive got a horrible pain just underneath my ribcage. Its in like the middle, its not to the left or the right. Mind you its quite random, theres a constant pain in the middle and somtimes it streches to the left. This pain comes and goes alot, im feeling it at the moment. Its really actually quite painful and uncomfatable. I do get these quite alot randomly. Anyone know what this is.? Thank You.Health Question & Answer

You know, this could be any number of things and without a complete history would be very difficult to determine what it might be. Could range from uneven distribution of surfactant (the lubricant that allows our lungs to move along the inside of our chest wall and commonly missing/underdeveloped in premies), might be heart related, gas, etc. Although the gall bladder is on the right side under the liver, could also be that. Your doc will ask you questions like, what makes it worse/better, to rate the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being unbearable, how long you've had it, etc. Will listen to your lungs and heart where we can't do that here and may order a chest xray. Pain has a purpose...the body's way to communicate that something isn't right. May well want to listen to it and follow up. Best wishes.....Health Question & Answer
I went to a & e the once with exactly the same symptoms. They saw me straight away as they always do now with chest pain. After loads of test they said I had a strained intercostal muscle.,(which are between the ribs) This strain cam about from regular lifting of a heavy laptop bag. I still get it from time to time.

2 things I know of personally, Stress or Pneumonia. I've experienced stress pains there. Someone I knew had similar symptoms, but zero stress, turns out it was walking pneumonia. Your doctor would be the best at answering your question. Hope you feel better soon, take care.Health Question & Answer

It could be trapped wind because that is very painfull but if it gets worse make an appointment with your doctor,also if it is trapped wind buy a bottle of cream soda that should get rid of it.Health Question & Answer
