What should you do when you feel faint in the middle of a choir concert?!

Question: What should you do when you feel faint in the middle of a choir concert.?
Last christmas concert, i started seeing stars and had hot flashes, and it was so weird and unexpected, that i walked off the stage drowsily and made a fool out of myself. i am not a weakling, i just spuch myself out. we stand up on the hot-ish stage for an hour and a half, with 2 other choirs and an orchestra. so a lot of the time i'm standing there thinking about nothing. what should i do to prevent getting the dizzy, arms-asleep feeling that freaks me out on stage.?

P.s. i'm in show choir and it never happens to me thenHealth Question & Answer

Try this relaxation technique. Start by taking slow deep breaths into your nose and let them out through your mouth. also drink a lot of water before going on stage this will help keep you hydrated so you won't get dizzy.Health Question & Answer

I have a feeling It's the heat that's causing this. Sometimes being in a hot enviornment for so long standing up and not sitting down can cause hot flashes and feeling faint. It's kinda like being under the sun for so long. Not thinking about fainting is good, sometimes this could also be due to anxiety.. but if it happens outside of a concert then it is a concern.Health Question & Answer

Do you have lights shining on you.?
Cause I'm in orchestra and I have these beaming hot shining on us. They are like being close to 5 suns.
Hmm, what I do is just concentrate. Ask the teacher if you can sit.
Maybe the choir teacher will help, try telling her about this!

It might be, that you lock your knees!!! When you do that, it cuts off the circulation to your legs, and you could pass out!!! bend your legs every now and then.Health Question & Answer

You could be dehydrated or maybe you need some extra salt. Or, you could be standing with your knees straight. You need to flex your knees just a bit occasionally or you will fall over from blood building up in your legs.Health Question & Answer

If there is a chair near, sit in the chair.

If no chair, then what you did was fine.Health Question & Answer
