Eating disorders and cold hands/feet?!

Question: Eating disorders and cold hands/feet.?
I read this somewhere:

Poor circulation resulting in cold hands and feet are a common symptom of the early stages of an eating disorder.

I want others opinions on this. Questions that I'd enjoy having answered include these (but you can expand upon or respond in any way related to the topic):

Have you had an eating disorder and experianced this.?
Is this true or false.? (Hopefully proof can be provided)
Why does this occur.?

Once again, these questions are all in relation to the statement I provided above.

:) Thankyou to any help. I have off and on issues with anorexia and my hands and feet are often very cold (to the extent that in the winter I have to wear gloves even while I'm in my heated house.) Thanks again to replies!Health Question & Answer

You should get checked out and see if you do have an eating disorder because it could be serious. I hope everything is okay.Health Question & Answer

It doesn't necessary have to be from the anorexia. Your anorexic condition may have triggered other diseases to emerge in your body, Read about Raynauds Syndrome and autoimmune diseases. These are sometimes awaken when there is an imbalance in your body(anorexia) or stressful conditions. Above all else see a doctor a rheumatologist would be goodHealth Question & Answer

i was bulemic :9

my hands and feet felt cold, but that was the least i've my worries. it's true, though

it occurs cuz lack of nutrition slows down your bloodstreamHealth Question & Answer

If your not eating enough food, your body slows itself down to conserve energy. Its a fact, look it up:signs of starvation, synptoms of not eating enough etc. Your hands and feet are the hardest parts of the body to heat because they are so far away from the warmest part of your body, your abdomen. Your body has no real heat source, it produces heat by itself. Thats why fat people sweat when its not hot and really skinny people are cold when its not cold. Start eating a healthy diet full of whole wheat/grains, protein especially. My girlfriend had bullemia, anorexias ugly cousin. I know how it goes. Find some happiness in your life. She said I saved her. Go seek help. If you want someone to talk to email me, Id be more than willing to listen and converse back and forth with you:toxicityrckr1605@aol.comHealth Question & Answer
