Yes, there are many simple and effective therapies.
I am an Indian and know some.

1. Put a pinch of turmeric powder in a tea spoon full of honey and mix it then eat thrice a day.
2. A dried apricot fruit is to be chivied thrice a day.
3. Take air into your mouth and close your nose and mingle it.
4. There is medicine (Nani Medicine) in India called "Habbe Kebad Noushadri". Take 2 tablets thrice a day.
5. Drink lots of water every day.

One of these will help you by the grace of almighty GOD.


Things not to be done :
1. Stop smoking.
2. Eat less oil items.
3. Reduce tea.
4. Stop or reduce alcohol.
5. Stop eating all type of spices.

Things to be done.

1. Dring a glass of butter milk (without fat) every day.
2. Use bottle guard in your daily meals.
3. Take simple meals every day.

Okay I know people have a 100 ways to get rid of the hiccups but this has always worked for me. Have someone close off your ear (the canal part) completely. You know kind of like sticking the ends of their finger in your ear canal. Then take a glass of water and take multiple deep gulps. Well if it hurts you should probably go to a doctor. Takes lots of deep breaths really fast without stopping for a while. It always works for me. If it comes back which usually happens keep doing it. I think that the hurting is no big deal just drink lots of ice water.Health Question & Answer

This is an old remedy and I have no idea why, but it usually works. Pour a glass of water and drink it from the opposite side of the glass.
i.e. lean over so your face is upside down and tip the glass so it goes into the roof of your mouth.
