Can Ky jelly be used for cathetering?!

Question: Can Ky jelly be used for cathetering.?
Answers:
Yes, thats what we use.Health Question & Answer

YIKES!!! I had a catheter once when I was in the hospital.... That sux. I really don't know the answer to your question, but I highly doubt it... My reason for doubting this is because of my observation that when a female gets her routine pap smear, the doctor always puts KY jelly on the device that is inserted into her vagina (which is completely different than the eurethra - which is where a catheter is inserted).... BUT when a man goes to get a chlamydia test, the device the doctor uses to stick in his eurethra (or penis-hole, if you will) never gets any KY applied to it... How do I know.?.? Cuz I was a real ****** to my ex and made him get a test (cuz of his past) and sat there and watched. But I definately took note of this. And I would think that the doctor's know what they are doing. And if they are considerate enough to put KY on the device inserted into the vagina for comfort, then why wouldn't they put it on the devise used to insert into the penis-hole.?.?.? And don't ask about my situation with the catheter... I woke up with it inside me because I had alcohol poisoning and had to have my stomach pumped (I know, what a loser, right.?.?) But anyways, that is my in-depth thoughts on the matter. =)Health Question & Answer
