Answers:
You only donate 470ml of blood at a time and that volume is less than 10% of your total blood volume. Your body discards and replaces blood all the time even if you dont donate so it takes around 24/48 hours for your body to replace the blood you donated anyway.
Before donating drink 3 or 4 extra glasses of juice or water and after you done donating you can grab something to eat and drink from the refreshment room because you need to stay there for about 20 minutes just to be safe. Its a great thing to do but you have to be over 17 to donate and no donating does not harm you in anyway. Hope i helped.Health Question & Answer

Fluids are replaced after 24 hours. After four to six weeks, your body has reproduced the cells and replaced lost minerals. You may feel a little dizzy immediately after giving blood and you are told to avoid strenuous activity or heavy lifting. Make sure you eat well before going and eat and drink after. Most places usually have orange juice and a snack available. You should not feel any significant differences. Other than a hole from the needle and bruising aroung the area, you'll be fine. The greatest is knowing you helped save a life. Don't be afraid to give blood.
Health Question & Answer

Your body does create more blood when you eat and drink. It takes the nutrients it needs from the food and drink. It doesn't do anything to you, it only affects your supply in your body for a bit until you eat and drink.

This from the American Red Cross site:

Although most people feel fine before and after donating blood, a small number of people may have a (n):

* upset stomach
* faint or dizzy feeling
* black and blue mark, redness, or pain where the needle was

Very rarely, a person may faint, have muscle spasms, and/or suffer nerve damage.

Our bodies are consistently creating new blood in our bone marrow. After you give blood, within 24 hours some is already replaced. You have to drink more fluids as giving blood has resulted in the loss of some fluid in your body. Other than this, no giving blood does not do anything to you. Within 4 weeks (wait 6 to be sure) your blood you gave is completely replaced by your body. They never take more from you than what you can safely donate either. You may have a bruise near the needle sight, this is very normal. For that day you may be a little light headed if you attempt to do too much to quick, especially if you do not rest enough just after giving blood. Health Question & Answer
