Why do you feel like drowning when you take a cold shower?!

Question: Why do you feel like drowning when you take a cold shower.?

I feel this always happens when I take a cold shower. Does my brain think i'm in a swimming pool because that contains cold water too, so it interprets that I'm drowning.?
