Does alcohol consumption help sweaty hands and blushing?!

Question: Does alcohol consumption help sweaty hands and blushing.?
I blush and sweat alot. I noticed when i consumed alcohol, that my hands weren't sweaty anymore and i didn't seem embarassed therefore wouldnt blush anymore. I was wondering whether like alcohol turned off a certain part in our brains that obviously controlled sweating and blushing.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Doctors regularly prescribe medicines called antichollinergics to decrease sweating. Such as Benedryl. If you dehydrate the body, the body will sweat less. Alcohol causes dehydration of the brain. That is what a hangover is. So yes... alcohol will decrease sweating... but not as effectivly as antichollinergics like benadryl.Health Question & Answer

Generally it is the opposite; you sweat and flush more when you drink. Maybe you are unique (or too drunk to notice any real change)Health Question & Answer
