What are the effects of midol on the liver?!
Question: What are the effects of midol on the liver.?
Answers:
Well, Midol contains acetaminophen, caffeine, and some other drug that apparently isn't a huge concern (according to ER nurses).
So really, it depends on how much you take, each pill contains 500mg of acetaminophen, and taking more than 4 grams in a day regularly is very bad for your liver. 7 grams or more at one time can be very toxic.
If you are taking Midol normally and are otherwise healthy, your liver should be fine. If you have taken an overdose recently, you really should go to the doctor to have it checked out.
also remember though, that the liver has the greatest blood flow and recovers well.
As long as you have 25% of a good liver it will grow back healthy.Health Question & Answer
