I am a nurse and I have lots of friends who are doctors... and all I can say is that the answer is NONE. I don't think any doctor genuinely care about their patients. All they care about is how they could treat your sickness quickly so they could earn the money quickly. And when you come back for another appointment, I don't think that they even remember you at all..only your case. Except maybe if you're a very close friend of theirs, or you are family. Health Question & Answer

yes, there are. there are some doctors that become doctors because they had a family member who died because of an illness that is incurable and they want to find the cure, ect...

A lot of doctors care about their patients, but they care about them in order of which patients have worse problems. Like comparing someone with a cold to someone with a deadly disease, it will seem like the doctor is ignoring the one with the cold and doesn't care about them, but really, they're just busy and worried about someone else at the moment. maybe just about 5%-10%. im currently consulting a psychiatrist and all she knows is to prescribe me drugs, listen a little with her mind somewhere. one time when i told her about my drug's side effects, she's rather in denial or gets annoyed, she dont care how the patient is encountering the burden. when i was very sick, i called her clinic asking if i could take a medicine to ease my fever, severe colds & tonsilitis (because im under her medication of a certain drug, and that drug is somewhat dangerous if taken with other drugs) she didnt reply. I guess that they somewhat need atleast a little human compassionHealth Question & Answer

i agree. my sons pediatrician was like that. no matter what i would tell him, he just rushed me out. every single time i would tell him something seems wrong with my son. he would say i'm a new mom, i'm doing everything for him. He had Autism, but wasn't diagnosed til he was 8 thanks to this doctor. i told him something was wrong at every single visit after he was about a year old.Health Question & Answer

The old school Doctors are dead and gone. Some may still be around, but it's rare you get one who even remembers you and what your ailment is from visit to visit.

In my humble opinion, the pharmaceutical companies have these Dr's wrapped around their fingers. They are pill pushers for these companies and get kickbacks. Ever tell a Dr. you rather not take the pills he or she is prescribing for you.? They get downright irritated.

No more flu vaccines for me. I just take non prescription OXY SILVER and I'm as good as a newborn baby. You should Google that. Health Question & Answer

Try a D.O. While there are some good M.D.s, in my experience D.O.s have much better bedside manners and will spend more time with you. Do not be fooled by ignorant people either. They have the same training as M.D.s including training in chiropractics which regular M.Ds do not have.Health Question & Answer

well you probably go for non-serious things. the ones who actually care are the ones for diseases and stuff. Health Question & Answer

its not that they dont care..there is just such a shortage of doctors. and so much red tape they need to follow so they wont get suedHealth Question & Answer
