Question: Can anyone give me a valid reason to not smoke marijuana.?
I know a guy who smokes marijuana and has been for a couple of years. He is really smart and plays sports. How do i convince him to stop!!!!!!! =)Health Question & Answer

marijuana gets a worse rap in this country then it deserves, but research has proven it to destroy brain cells. that said, it sounds like he has a good life, weed and all. if it were something harder like cocaine or even alcohol abuse then it would be much worse, but a lot of studies have shown marijuana is less harmful than tobacco smoke, so take from that what you will.Health Question & Answer
my brother has been smoking it and as a result he has a terrible never ending cough, the doctors told him if he doesn't quit smoking he'll be dead by the time he's 50 but the doctors think he's on tobacco, not dope.
it's difficult to watch him do this to himself and he only does it very occasionally-someone who smokes very often will have a much shorter life span:(

Well he has to want to stop. And otherwise it's pretty pointless. If you really are committed to "him" though you could have this person arrested and/or committed to a psych hospital where they would put him through therapy.Health Question & Answer
