Question: I have a really bad sore throat that won't go away!.?
I had a really bad sore throat since last Thursday and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I drink lots of water/tea each day and I also gargle with warm salt water everyday. My doctor prescribed medication for me, but it doesn't seem to be taking effect. Any ideas.? :/Health Question & Answer

Hi there. Sometimes the medication isn't the right antibiotic (i'm assuming it is) for the types of bacteria causing the problem. You have to go back to your doctor or another doctor to clear this up. When the sore throat is still at the starting phase, I find that I can kill it by gargling Bactidol(hexetedine.?), a strong antibacterial mouthwash. also, my cousin adds some powdered aspirin to his warm salt solution to add some antibacterial punch.
But the best way is to go to the doctor, a good doctor, and tell them your symptoms. Get better soon. (:Health Question & Answer
