Nurse says theres a trace of ketone in urine?!

Question: Nurse says theres a trace of ketone in urine.?
my boyfriend has been feeling really tired and run down the past couple of weeks. he went to the nurse with urine sample and to get blood tests done. the nurse said there was a trace of ketone in his urine but it might not be anythg to worry about altho itll be friday before he gets the results. Aside from the fact that im furious that she told him this in the first place without waiting until the official results are in I am aware that diabetes can be a factor where ketones are involved. although to my knowledge he hasnt been drinking alot more or anythg. he is a complee worrier especially where his health is concerned and has been under a heap of stress as hes having real trouble getting a job. he doesnt really want to talk but from what i can gather there was only a trace of ketone in the sample, no mentio of glucose etc... is it likely he is diabetic.?.?

im worried about him as he wont talk now... i know hes prob went to bed sick with worry and i cant get to him cos im at work still!!Health Question & Answer
