Can the effects of Insomnia cause 'flashbacks' ?!

Question: Can the effects of Insomnia cause 'flashbacks' .?
I've not been sleeping for a few weeks, but nothing major I'm still getting about 5 hours sleep.

However I've never had it for such a prolonged period.

What is freaking me slightly is when I close my eyes I'm getting images from my childhood that I had long 'forgotten' ( or filed away!). Stupid things like logos from products or patterns of carpets.

I'm not asleep so I'm not dreaming. What on earth is it.?

( My lovely contacts please do not feel obliged to answer this LOLOL )Health Question & Answer

I only get between 4 and 5 hours of sleep per night/day on average so I know what you are going through. I too have had this happen and it will pass. Try some Advil PM or relaxation techniques such as stretching or closing your eyes and relaxing body parts one by one starting with your toes until you feel like you are melting LOL. Sounds funny but it really does work for me. Good luck and hope you are able to get some sleep soon!Health Question & Answer

I've had insomnia for a long time now. and I can honestly tell you not getting enough sleep or balanced sleep can do a lot of things to you and to your brain!!

It can also bring on physical illness as well as depression!!!

I feel with you!!!
