Do Flu Shots Hurt or Is it No Big Deal?!

no really .if you keep thinking about,"it will hurt,it will hurt,it will hurt".It may hurt if you think like that.

it takes only half a second !even less.

No big deal, its all in your head. Insect bites can "hurt" more because they get itchy, burn, or puss-filled. With a shot, turn your head and don't look. The person will clean the injection sight with a alcohol wipe you will feel cool on your skin. The skin is pinched up a little, you will feel pressure. The moment the needle goes in feels like an insect bite kind of stings, but doesn't "hurt". As the shot is put in you feel sort of warmth around the injection site. well if u hate flu shots theres a new thing well its not really new but its called a flu mist all they do is spray it up your nose and it dosent hurt at all and flu shots when u first get them the needle feels like a small pinch it really dosent hurt but after a few minute your arms will hurt well mines did thats y from now on i always get the flu mist but if u cant get the flu mist just close your eyes relax and count to 4 and it will all be over

if you're afraid of needles,
don't look at the needle when they do it.
also. if you imagine yourself somewhere else,

you should barely even notice it.

I guess it's different for everybody, SO it could hurt one person and not the next. But, from somebody who is TERRIFIED of needles, I had one today and it wasn't so bad. I felt a tiny prick, nothing major, and my muscle has been a little sore but not that bad, just like I worked out or something. I think you'll be fine.Health Question & Answer

No, they don't hurt. At all. They actually kind of tickle...they just feel kind of freaky...like someone's pulling a string out of your arm. Then your arm will normally be kind of sore/itchy/both for the next 24 hours, but only it something hits it or if you scratch it. I got one yesterday. :DHealth Question & Answer

I guess it depends. if you ask me, they hurt more and more every year. it's because they get stronger every year. your arm will hurt for a few days, but it's not that bad. and i know where i go they have different sized needles, so you could probably suggest a smaller needle. the poke of the needle dosent hurt but the fluid being injected into your arm is slightly uncomfortable and a lump will remain for a couple of days
